The goal of the partnership is to make solar planning even more efficient, faster, and customer-friendly through the use of artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n<p>Aurora AI, Aurora Solar\u2019s \u200b\u200bflagship product, enables Stadtwerke M\u00fcnchen to plan precise solar projects within minutes\u2014entirely without an on-site visit. By integrating high-resolution satellite and LiDAR data\u2014along with a machine-learning AI trained on a global dataset of over 20 million solar projects\u2014planning quality is significantly enhanced. LiDAR data constitutes a central component of this technology, providing exact information on roof pitches, obstructions, and surrounding structures, thereby enabling precise 3D models for informed planning.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cThe partnership with Aurora Solar marks a milestone in our digital strategy,\u201d says Dr. Thomas L\u00fcers, Head of Decentralized Energy Solutions at Stadtwerke M\u00fcnchen. \u201cAurora AI enables us not only to generate quotes more efficiently but also to model the typical challenges of German roofs with greater accuracy\u2014for instance, in the case of terraced houses with pitched roofs and specific shading conditions.
