A Solar Charger is a Photovoltaic Solar Cell array (a solar cell is a single round or square silicon based wafer the thickness of card stock paper measuring anywhere fron 1/2 inch to 4 inches square)...using single Solar Cells soldered together usually in a series connection that allows the Voltages (1/2 Volt) to be added through each successive Solar cell (so...10 Solar cells would generate 5 Volts)....and since the other part of the power equation involves Amperage,...the larger the Solar Cell the more Amperage you derive!
